When I was 12 years old, I fell in love with the sport of volleyball. To be able to play the sport I love as a career is one of the greatest gifts I have ever received. Especially as a woman, being a professional athlete comes with a great deal of challenges; but when you’re passionate about something, it’s worth it. One of the hardest parts about being a professional volleyball player has been having to make the choice to be away from my family and friends (and my cat Theodore) for the majority of the year. Until this year, if you wanted to play competitive volleyball after college, your only option was to play overseas; which has been an amazing adventure! But I am SO excited that I have signed to play in the first season of the ONLY professional women’s volleyball league in the United States this coming season! Athletes Unlimited is completely changing the game for women’s sports in the USA and I could not be more thrilled to be a part of such an amazing movement. The season starts in February 2021 in Nashville, TN!
